I haven't given you a beef curry recipe yet. Since few years have been avoiding beef, no health issues on that but hate the smell of cooking it.. :) So I was waiting for mom to cook some to bring her very naadan recipe for you. This one seems very easy to cook, so all beef lovers , try out and let me know...
Ingredients needed,
beef 1/2 kg
onions 2 chopped
shallots 1 handful chopped
tomatoes 2 chopped
garlic cloves small 10
ginger 1" piece
garam masala powder 1 tsp
chilly powder 1/2 Tb
coriander powder 4 Tb
turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
green chillies 4
pepper powder 2 tsp
curry leaves few
coriander leaves few
salt
oil
How mom prepares it,
Wash and clean chopped beef.
Crush garlic, ginger and green chillies.
Mix everything together including salt, pour little water.
Mix well again, pour enough oil on top.
Cook well.
If you pressure cook, the gravy would be very thin in the beginning, but later it will change to a very thick gravy.
This beef curry is a very good accompaniment with gheerice, pathiri or kaipathiri.

ReplyDeleteThanks for providing an easy beef receipe.I tried this with 1 kg beef .What I felt was it was bit spicy.You could have made it less spicy.Otherwise it turned out well :)
