How to prepare
Mix everything together.
Make balls.
You can prepare this using powdered ground nuts also.
It is not compulsory to melt jaggery, but just pound it.
If you use molten jaggery, no need to make balls when it is hot.
This is a very tasty sweet.

My ajji makes these too for every Ugadi festival!:))
ReplyDeleteLooks yum.
That looks good. I make the same with peanuts too. Don't we have to make the balls/undas while the mixture/syrup is hot? That's what keeping me away from making this often. Your recipe doesn't say so. That means it works even if I use cold jaggery syrup?
ReplyDeletethis sounds so simple and delicious. would like to try out sometime. thanks for the nice one.
ReplyDeleteShn,

ReplyDeleteHi Anon,
Thanks for visiting here..
Yeah, I powdered roasted rice in the small grinder attachment with mixie.
No need to add ghee. Crushed coconut(this also done in mixie grinder) and melted jaggery is enough to make balls. Usually when making this I eat before making balls..:)
Ok, let me know, how it came out, Good luck and come back with better results and your good name too..
